Comments:

Stone Mountain Falls cascades over 200 ft. down the granite mountain face. It is a moderate hike of 1.2 miles. The steps at the base of the falls are somewhat discouraging but climbing them provides one with the final view that is well worth it, especially in the fall or at dusk. Please remember not to cross the fence as the granite surface is smooth and slippery in the first place. The trail continues as part of the stone mtn. loop trail (4 mi.) and will bring you atop the granite, moon-like surface.

There is an upper parking lot across from the campground area that is the start of a .6 mile trail to the top of the falls.
